Photographing the work of Perth based designers and small business owners is my favourite part of my job. Perth is full of talented creative people and Robin Wells is one of them. Heavily influenced by her home of WA her jewellery designs are always more than something pretty, they have thought and meaning behind every collection. Robin and I always approach her photoshoot by first discussing the meaning behind her design and then tailoring her shoot to make sure that is reflected in the photography. In this particular range the charred scenes of summer bushfires, and the fragility of the flora and fauna it effects, heavily influenced her design and we wanted to capture that feeling in the photographs.
